University of Edinburgh
BDG was appointed as the consortium leader for the £10million refurbishment of teaching and research accommodation for the University. The building provides open access teaching space, student areas, staff accommodation, lecture theatre, refurbished laboratories, and specialist research areas including a confocal microscopy suite. New plant room space required that the roof be removed and rebuilt to provide additional space. All work was undertaken whilst the building was occupied and fully operational.
